Greg Lang, PA-C

Gregory Lang is a physician assistant at Summit Health Cardiology. Gregory attended undergraduate school at Colorado State University. He holds two master’s degrees in Exercise Physiology and Public Health. Gregory draws from a number of experiences in his life that motivated him to pursue a career in healthcare, most notably from his time as a high school teacher and as a Lieutenant in the fire department.

The idea of practicing medicine to prevent illness rather than treat and heal patients is an important part of Gregory’s approach to his care. “I am keen on changing the paradigm in medicine  from treating to preventing disease,” he says. Increasing the longevity of a patient’s well-being through carefully-selected lifestyle changes is always top of mind for Gregory. He describes his areas of interest and expertise to include lipidology, metabolic disease (pre-diabetes, diabetes, obesity, hypertension), exercise, nutrition, and life-style intervention.

When he is caring for patients, Gregory says the ability to have an open and transparent conversation is most important. “During a visit with my patient, it is most important to me that I listen to their concerns and develop a plan of care that best fits their needs.” His goal is to have his patients leave an appointment excited to enjoy an increased quality of life.

In his spare time, Gregory can be found on any type of bicycle enjoying the roads, paths, and trails. He loves picking up a good mystery novel, cooking new recipes, and spending time with his wife and two dogs.
