Laith Kadasi, MD, is a member of Summit Health‘s Ophthalmology team. Dr. Kadasi is a fellowship-trained specialist in medical retina. His areas of interest include age-related macular degeneration, diabetes, vascular occlusions, and cystoid macular edema.

Dr. Kadasi completed his undergraduate degree at Brown University in Rhode Island, and later completed medical school at Tufts University in Boston. He went on to complete his Ophthalmology residency at Brown University and his medical retina fellowship at the University of Iowa.

“I try to focus on transparency in decision making and keeping patients as comfortable as possible,” says Dr. Kadasi. “This is especially important when their care involves procedures on their body.” Dr. Kadasi has always had an interest in combatting blindness and enjoys restoring vision in cases of debilitating eye disease.

In his spare time, Dr. Kadasi enjoys spending time with family and being active. He enjoys swimming, biking, and hiking.
