Alexander Ochman, DO, is a cardiology provider at Summit Health. He graduated with a graduate degree in biomedical chemistry from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Ochman completed his Internal Medicine residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, where he was Chief Resident. He later went on to complete his Cardiovascular Fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey, specializing in invasive Cardiology with special focus in sports and preventative Cardiology.
Dr. Ochman specializes in Invasive Cardiology, which includes diagnostic Coronary Angiography as well as device implantation, cardiac CT, Echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology with specific interests in sports cardiology.
Dr. Ochman says his unique background experience working in the bio-tech industry allowed him to become more surrounded by clinical medicine. “I wanted to form that relationship and become a partner in helping patients achieve their health goals whatever they may be,” he explains. Dr. Ochman’s idea of a successful provider-patient relationship is to partner with patients to outline achievable goals that can get the patient back to their normal life. “Seeing patients achieve their health goals ultimately helps them achieve their life goals,” he says.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Ochman loves spending time with his wife and two children, which often includes time outdoors. He enjoys playing soccer, endurance sports and alpine skiing.
