As a Physician Assistant with Summit Health’s Family Medicine team, Delaney Gilbert believes that showing compassion and understanding is an important part of treating the whole patient. “As a provider, it is important to be patient-centered, which includes being a good listener as well as hearing what my patients are saying,” says Delaney. She is passionate about family medicine because it allows her to work with patients of all ages with a wide range of diagnoses.
Delaney earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at Arizona State University and later graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. When thinking about why she decided to pursue a career in healthcare, Delaney says, “I love helping people, especially in their most vulnerable times. I also enjoy the challenge of diagnosing and treating patients.”
When not working, Delaney enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, and playing musical instruments, including the cello and piano. She
