Dr. Walling was raised in the Northwest in Longview, Washington and came to Bend from Wenatchee Valley Medical Center where she was a partner in a large multi-specialty clinic for 6 years. Dr. Walling completed her Surgery residency at University of Arizona, her Medical Degree at UC Irvine and her Bachelor of Arts from UC Davis. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons with a Breast Ultrasound Certification as well as a participant in the Mastery of Breast Surgery program.
Dr. Walling performs a wide variety of general surgical procedures, but retains special interest and study of endocrine surgery, breast surgery, colorectal surgery and advanced laparoscopy. Her passion for helping others stretches back to her youth. She began working with patients in her father’s dental office as soon as she was old enough. During undergraduate studies, she obtained her EMT license and volunteered in the emergency room and at health festivals for migrant workers in Sacramento California.
Dr. Walling’s family spent many vacations in Bend as she grew up and she is very happy to return with her family to Bend.
