Evan Smith, DPM, is a podiatry physician at Summit Health in Bend. He provides comprehensive foot and ankle surgical care, from the simplest maladies to the most complex. Dr. Smith completed his undergraduate degree at Illinois Wesleyan University, and later went on to attend medical school at Des Moines University. Dr. Smith completed his residency at Legacy Health in Portland.
When asked about his philosophy to care, Dr. Smith points to the importance in making an effort to get to know his patients and their goals. “I work hard to provide a personalized approach to patient care,” he explains. “A diagnosis can be treated many ways depending on the patient.” Dr. Smith provide both non-surgical and surgical options for treatment and strive to spend time educating the patient on their condition to enhance understanding and expectations. Common services provided by Dr. Smith include plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, and foot/ankle fractures and sprains.
When he is not caring for patients in the clinic, Dr. Smith enjoys mountain biking, hiking, watching soccer, and spending time with his wife and three daughters and dog.
