Mayra Dennis
Mayra Dennis, FNP, is a nurse practitioner on Summit Heath’s Pain Management team in Bend. She specializes in treating adult patients suffering with chronic pain. She is bi-lingual in Spanish.
After completing her bachelor’s at Barry University in Miami, Mayra went on to earn her master’s of nursing from OHSU. She pursued a career in health care because it’s where she feels she can make the most impact in her community. “I enjoy developing therapeutic relationships with patients and their families and love it when I can help patients to live robustly fulfilled lives in spite of their pain,” Mayra explains. “I create unique, patient-centered treatment plans to reduce suffering and improve function and quality of life.”
When she is not seeing patients, Mayra can be found at local theater plays, making props and even performing on stage. Her hobbies include tap dancing, cooking, and Pilates.
