Meredith R. Baker, MD

Dr. Meredith Baker completed her undergraduate degree at Reed College in Portland, Oregon and obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her General Surgery internship and residency in urology at the University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas and trained at five major hospitals including Parkland Memorial Hospital, Baylor Medical Center and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.

Dr. Baker believes that honest interaction with your doctor is crucial to good health. She asserts, “The issues we treat in urology are often associated with social stigma or embarrassment. I want my patients to feel comfortable speaking to me about any of their concerns.” Dr. Baker strives to make her patients an active part of medical decision making and planning and makes a point to interact with them and teach them about the inner workings of their bodies. Dr. Baker feels that helping patients understand how the body works makes them much more committed to keeping themselves healthy.

Dr. Baker practices general urology and treats cancer, stones, pelvic pain, and incontinence among a wide variety of age groups.

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Baker enjoys golfing and hiking with her husband, two children and two dogs.
