Rachel Scott APN is a Behavioral Health provider at Summit Health in Bend. She treats psychiatric conditions in adults and adolescents over the age of 16.
Upon completing bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Nursing, Rachel attended Eastern Kentucky University where she earned a master’s in Nursing. “I knew I wanted to be in a helping profession, and I grew up seeing family members deal with psychiatric conditions, so I have always had in interest in providing care for those suffering from similar illnesses,” explains Rachel. She approaches each patient with the goal of making them feel empowered in making their own decisions. For Rachel, patient care is truly a collaborative effort.
Rachel also strives to offer the most compassionate care to her patients in order to provide a personalized treatment plan. “There is so much involved in a person’s mental health, so I try to hear the whole story with each patient to best determine what treatment route to assign,” she says.
When she is not seeing patients, Rachel enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and dog.
