Ryan Kearney, MD

Having spent his formative years living abroad, and with a moderate amount of personal and family experience with medical systems throughout the world, medicine has been a part of Dr. Ryan Kearney’s life narrative in a way that naturally led him to a career in pediatric medicine. As a member of Summit Health’s Pediatrics team, Dr. Kearney’s interests and expertise span from prenatal consultation visits through college-age young adults, working with children of all ages and their families to manage acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.

Board Certified in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Kearney received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, and his Master of Public Health from the University of Washington. “Through pediatrics, I am inspired by something from my patients and their families every day that allows me to be a more thoughtful, kind, or whole physician, parent, and human,” says Dr. Kearney. His sub-specialty in pediatric emergency medicine is a natural fit for Central Oregon, specifically in injury prevention and identification, and appropriate risk mitigation around some of the ‘higher consequence’ outdoor activities so many of our youth take part in. Above all, he strives to ensure that his patients and their families feel respected, valued, and heard.

When he’s not seeing young patients, Dr. Kearney can be found laughing and adventuring outside with his own three children.
