Alice Tran, MD is a Family Medicine provider at Summit Health in Bend. As a primary care provider she helps patients of all ages navigate preventative health recommendations as well as chronic medical conditions and unexpected health challenges.
After earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Dr. Tran attended medical school at Texas A&M University. She completed her residency training at the University of Houston.
For Dr. Tran, the most important part of any visit is identifying and addressing the patient’s priorities for their visit. “I feel that my job is to understand what’s important to my patient—what they value, what’s meaningful to them, what their goals are for their health—and to help them make informed decisions in service of those goals,” she explains.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Tran enjoys reading, learning to cook Vietnamese food, and playing the piano.
