James Johnson, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant on Summit Health’s Pain Management team located at the Old Mill clinic. James received a Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at South University in Savannah, Georgia. He pursued a career in medicine with the intent to give back to his community and those in need.
James holds nearly 14 years of experience in Pain Management. He treats chronic pain conditions in adults and occasionally youth patients. When describing his approach to care, James always treats his patients the way he would want to be treated. “It’s important to me that I show compassion and empathy toward my patients, and meet the patient at their level of understanding so they easily comprehend the treatment plan I assign them,” James says.
When out of the clinic, James enjoys spending time with friends and family. He is an avid snowboarder and enjoys riding his mountain bike. He has two dogs, a golden retriever and sheepadoodle.
