Katrina Meynig, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner within Summit Health’s Internal Medicine team in Bend. She treats patients across all age groups.
Upon attending Oklahoma City University for her undergraduate degree, Katrina went on to earn a master’s of nursing from Graceland University, specializing as a nurse practitioner in family practice. She aspired to be a health care provider due to other family members in the field, and was driven due to her passion for preventative care. “I enjoy being able to provide my patients with help navigating challenging health problems,” explains Katrina. “When I can see a noticeable improvement in a health metric, it is very rewarding.” Her approach to patient care is centered around evaluating the whole patient – taking into account not only the physical health but also the emotional and social health of the patient as well. “It is important to let them know that their concerns are being heard, and that their needs are being met,” says Katrina.
When Katrina is not seeing patients, she enjoys outdoor hobbies, including backpacking, biking, and snowboarding. She also loves attending live music shows.
