Dr. Kurt Andreason is a member of Summit Health’s Ophthalmology team. Dr. Andreason is a board-certified eye surgeon with extensive surgical expertise, specializing in advanced cataract surgeries, including astigmatism and presbyopia-correcting lenses, light adjustable lenses, LASIK, and laser surface ablation. He also treats a wide variety of eye conditions, including pterygium and corneal disease, dry eye disease, diabetes, and glaucoma.
Dr. Andreason earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD, and completed ophthalmology residency training in San Antonio, TX, while serving in the United States Air Force. Subsequently, he completed fellowship training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of California in San Diego. His years in the Service included care of active duty servicemen and women, their families and retirees, joint assignments with the Army and Navy, including the trauma hospital in Germany 2004-2007, deployments to East Asia and Iraq, and many humanitarian missions from Latin America to Eastern Europe.

In his spare time, Dr. Andreason enjoys time with his wife and their five wonderful children. He also enjoys the mountains, oceans, poetry, and meeting great people from across the world.
