Molly Nichols, PA-C, is a family medicine provider at Summit Health in Bend. She enjoys treating both men and women of all ages and backgrounds. She has a special interest in chronic disease management, women’s health, and performing in-office procedures.
A native of Redmond, Molly completed her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from OHSU in Portland. She chose a career in medicine due to her experience with her father suffering from type 1 diabetes. “As a young child, I was exposed to the consequences of inadequate access to healthcare as well as the miracles of modern medicine,” Molly explains. “It is my hope that practicing in family medicine will allow me to screen for and treat diseases in their early stages, allowing patients to live long and healthy lives.”
The most important thing to Molly when seeing a patient is making sure they leave feeling like their needs were met and their voices were heard. “I prefer to partner with the patient and other members of the care team when making decision about the patients care,” she says. “This allows the patient to be engaged in their own medical decision making, and enrolling key members of the care team ensures they receive the highest quality care possible.” Molly enjoys the fast-paced environment and the fact that every day brings something new.
When she is not seeing patients, Molly enjoys the outdoors by skiing, hiking, and paddle boarding. She also spends time with her husband and daughters traveling.
