Rebecca Ferguson, DO is a member of Summit Health’s Family Medicine team. A native of Kansas City, Dr. Ferguson is a Kansas State University alumnus with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and is ESL Certified. She worked as an Elementary School teacher for six years in the Seattle area before applying to medical school gaining her adoration for the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Ferguson strongly perceives that her teaching profession lent itself to educating her patients toward optimal health. She earned her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009 and completed her residency at MacNeal Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Berwyn, IL in 2012. While in medical school, she participated in the Illinois Health Education Consortium, a medical Spanish immersion program that involved classroom, clinical and home instruction with Spanish as the primary language. Dr. Ferguson is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, Oregon Academy of Family Physicians, Indiana Academy of Family Physicians, and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Prior to joining Summit Health, she practiced Family Medicine at Dale Family Medicine in Dale, IN, One Health Ford Urgent Care in Owensboro, KY, and most recently with the St. Charles Clinic in La Pine.
Dr. Ferguson and her family enjoy the sunshine of Bend. Her interests include running, reading, gardening, and traveling.
