Dr. Massine came to Summit Health from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon where he completed a Fellowship in Nephrology. Before his Fellowship, Dr. Massine practiced Internal Medicine at Keesler Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. While living in Mississippi, he was an Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. Dr. Massine completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Wright-Patterson Medical Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio in 2001. He received his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon. He graduated from both universities Cum Laude. Dr. Massine’s certifications include Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy training completed with the International ATMO at the Nix Hospital in San Antonio Texas. Dr. Massine is Board certified in Internal Medicine
In 2006, Dr. Massine was the recipient of the Recognized Outstanding Service and Excellence (R.O.S.E.) Award at Oregon Health & Sciences University. In 2005, he received the USAF Meritorious Service Medal. Dr. Massine has held many medical staff leadership roles at St. Charles including Chief of Nephrology and Chief of Medicine. Dr. Massine is currently the Chief of Staff at St. Charles Medical Center.
Dr. Massine’s special interests include hypertension, electrolyte disorders, chronic kidney disease management and critical care nephrology. He believes in building long term relationships with patients while striving to better their health and quality of life.
In his spare time, Dr. Massine enjoys cycling, running and skiing.
