Sarah Struthers, MD, is a Nephrology provider at Summit Health Bend and Redmond clinics. Dr. Struthers attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch, and later completed her residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Louisiana. Dr. Struthers found her way to the Pacific Northwest when she completed her fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Dr. Struthers chose a career in Nephrology because it allows her to work across a range of health care settings and establish long-term relationships with her patients. “I strive to get to know my patients at a personal level,” Dr. Struthers explains. “I enjoy hearing about their families, pets, and favorite activities.” Her area of expertise involves treating acute and chronic kidney disease.
When not in clinic, Dr. Struthers enjoys many outdoor hobbies, including yoga, rock climbing, and skiing.
