Steve Wahls, MD, FAAFP, is a Family Medicine physician at Summit Health in Redmond. He welcomes patients in any stage in life including children and adolescents.
After completing his Family Medicine specialty training in Chicago, Dr. Wahls practiced in Roseburg for 24 years where he was a co-founder of Evergreen Family Medicine. He has enjoyed long-term patient relationships while providing full spectrum care, helping families navigate the opportunities of health. Dr. Wahls served on the faculty of OHSU Family Medicine from 2008 to 2020, and was particularly honored to work with amazing residents and students in outpatient and hospital environments.
Dr. Wahls is Board Certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has been a long-term member of the Oregon Academy of Family Physicians and the Christian Medical Dental Association. Dr. Wahls is a designated FAA Senior Medical Examiner, and performs pilot medical exams and consultations in the field of Aerospace Medicine.
Dr. Wahls and his wife of over 40 years have three adult daughters and six grandchildren. Together, they enjoy hiking, biking, doing yard work, and exploring new areas of Oregon and beyond.
