Summit Health participates in social media in order to engage patients and the community in leading healthy lives.
We encourage users to share thoughts and opinions on Summit Health’s social media pages/accounts and look forward to any comments, stories and experiences you want to share. However, this is a public website, and you should therefore not share any personal medical information. We look forward to your participation. We cannot respond to every comment, particularly those that deal with individual medical cases and issues.
Summit Health does not give medical advice via its website or social media sites and will not respond to patient-specific clinical questions posted on social media. Summit Health’s social media is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, nor is the information provided herein intended to replace consultation with a qualified physician or other health care provider. Use of Summit Health’s social media shall not constitute establishment of a physician/patient or clinical relationship with any individual, nor establishment of or offer to enter into a business relationship with any institution or organization. Any questions that you may have regarding the diagnosis, care or treatment of a medical condition should be directed to your physician. If you are seeking specific medical advice, please contact your physician or call 911 in the case of an emergency.

- Comments that infringe on copyrights,
- Comments that release patient confidentiality,
- Spam comments,
- Other comments that the Summit Health deems inappropriate.
- All links posted as comments on Summit Health posts will be reviewed and may be deleted.
All links to other websites found linked from these posts/ communities are provided as a service to readers, but such linkage does not constitute endorsement of those sites by Summit Health, and as such we are not responsible for the content of external websites.
You agree that you will indemnify Summit Health against any damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of a claim by a third party relating to any material you have posted.
We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not. We may not see every inappropriate comment right away, and we are trusting in the maturity of our community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech or respond politely.
