Originally from Whidbey Island, Washington, Alicia received her Bachelors from the University of Washington. Following graduation she moved to Bend, where she worked as a medical assistant. She received her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of New England in 2008. She was a Hospitalist and practiced peri-operative medicine at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine for 8 years. Alicia returned to Bend in 2016 with her family to enjoy the amazing outdoor lifestyle that Central Oregon offers. Since her return she has continued to work as a PA in Urgent Care, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She enjoys working collaboratively with patients to develop healthcare plans that work best for their medical needs and lifestyle. She believes getting to know the patient is an integral part in having successful outcomes and that utilizing positive lifestyle changes are an important part of preventive medicine. Outside of work, Alicia enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 kids, mountain biking, snowboarding, running, paddle boarding, traveling and exploring Central Oregon.
