Lindsey Cabrera, NP, is a Family Medicine provider at Summit Health in Bend. She specializes in well-woman examinations, family planning, and sexual and mental health.

Lindsey graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing from Bradley University in Peoria, IL in 2021. She chose a career in medicine because of her inspiration to provide quality health care and education to her community. “I believe that it is our responsibility as health care providers to provide up to date, relatable, and easy to understand education to our patients,” says Lindsay. “I have seen first-hand that this is the key to preventing and slowing down the progression of chronic illnesses that so many individuals are affected by.”

When with a patient, Lindsay makes sure to listen first and to keep an open mind. “I believe that if a patient feels listened to they feel genuinely cared for,” she says. “I find that a lot of clinical diagnoses are more accurate if the patient history is carefully documented and taken into consideration.” An open line of communication is most important to Lindsey when she is caring for her patients.

Outside of the clinic, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters, and two dogs. She loves to explore outdoors by hiking, biking, floating the river, and camping.
